Charles Deutchman has substantial experience in providing financial, operational and strategic consulting to multi-national and middle market companies.  His proven strengths include management of operations, budgeting, financial forecasting, financial reporting, and debt restructuring.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Ohio State University, and his Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve’s Weatherhead School of Management.  He is a certified public accountant, a certified turnaround professional, and has been an active board member of several privately held companies and exempt organizations.

Charles has served as court approved restructuring officer of several organizations during their Chapter 11 proceedings, the success of which has often resulted in unsecured creditors receiving 100% of their original claims, with monies leftover to pay equity investors as well.  His projects have received the Transaction of the Year Award from the Turnaround Management Association in 2013 and 2015, and the Cross Board Distressed M&A Deal of the Year Award from the Global M&A Network in 2015.  He has also been appointed by the secured lender of numerous organizations to analyze and manage the sale and wind down of their borrowers’ businesses.  His experience also includes financial advisor to a real estate developer, interim divisional VP of Finance for a public company, interim CFO for both public and private companies, chief restructuring officer, expert witness, developing all financial information and drafting the financial disclosures for an IPO, business valuations, restructuring of asset based borrowing agreements, reducing operating costs through contract concessions, vendor settlements, personnel reductions and development of operational reporting systems.

Charles is the founding member of Shared Management Resources, and serves as an independent senior financial consultant with BG Consulting Group, providing financial turnaround management services to its clients.
